Fire Mitigation and Emergency Management

Icon Utility Service’s has worked on California wildfire mitigation projects since 2013, managing utility fire infrastructure risk mitigation materials for 100+ laydown yards since our inception. We now provide the same services to Vegetation Management and Emergency Incident Management teams in need of assistance with establishing an ICP (Incident Command Protocol) and/or Fire Risk Mitigation program. In 2017, we began providing Vegetation Management Utility Safety and Auditing support to one of the largest utility providers in California with Wildland Urban Interface Communities and their safety in mind. Our staff of Certified tree care safety professionals, Certified utility arborists, foresters, veteran municipal/wildland firefighters and Land Managers provide dynamic approaches to both utility and community vegetation management projects.

ICON’s dedicated Emergency Response Division (ERD) includes a combination of safety, security, emergency and all-hazard incident management experts who are specialized in natural disaster, wildland fire, utility, pandemic and pipeline/gas emergency response. Our team members have experience with OSHA, FEMA-Incident Command System (ICS), and National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) instruction and curriculum development. Members of the ERD are OSHA, FEMA, NIMS, CWCG, ICS instructors and curriculum development specialists for scenario-based simulations and tactical decision games (TDGS). Not only are they instructors, but field operators who have participated as boots on the ground conducting response and recovery for numerous incidents worldwide.
